— What we offer

Two models.
One clear purpose.

Genuine intelligence and reliable access to Asian food ingredient supply chains — through two distinct, transparent service models. No blurring. No hidden incentives.

Choose the engagement that fits your need

The food ingredient sourcing industry blurs effort-based and outcome-based work constantly — and buyers pay for it with hidden incentives and misaligned advisers. We separate them completely. You always know what you are paying for, and why.

— Model One
Agency
Fixed Outcome · Pre-agreed Fee

We act as your local representative in China. Specific, defined work is delivered for a fixed fee — agreed in writing before engagement begins — whether or not a transaction follows. Three structured service areas: Risk Management, Logistics, and Others.

— Model Two
Brokerage
Success-based · Commission on Completion

We identify vetted Chinese suppliers, negotiate on your behalf, and facilitate the transaction from enquiry to shipment. Commission is pre-disclosed in writing and earned only when both sides have fully performed — supplier has shipped, buyer has paid. Not before.

Agency Brokerage
How you pay Fixed fee, pre-agreed in writing. Paid on delivery of defined outputs. Commission only, earned when both sides have fully performed — supplier shipped, buyer paid. Not before.
What you get Defined deliverables: reports, visit findings, audit conclusions, logistics guidance. A completed transaction — vetted supplier, negotiated terms, shipment completed.
Best when You need intelligence or verification regardless of whether a purchase follows. You are ready to buy and want a vetted supply connection with no upfront fee.
Who controls You — in both models. We represent you. Contracts remain directly between you and the supplier.
Can you use both? Yes. Many buyers use Agency to verify a supplier first, then Brokerage to transact. The two models work together naturally.

Commercial Agency

Fee-based representation. We carry out specific, defined work as your local representative in China — reporting to you, acting on your instructions. The fee is fixed before engagement begins and payable on delivery of agreed outputs, regardless of whether a deal is struck. All engagements documented in writing. EU Commercial Agency Directive applies for European principals.

Your representative.
On the ground.

You engage us for a specific task — a factory visit, a market report, a pre-shipment inspection, a document set. We deliver the defined output. You pay the agreed fee. No ongoing commitment required to begin.

Our Agency work is structured into three buckets: Risk Management, Logistics, and Others. These are described in detail below. If your requirement doesn't fit neatly, describe it — we'll tell you honestly whether we can help.

Audit verdicts are always one of three: Continue · Watch · Avoid. Findings are never softened to protect a supplier relationship. If there is a problem, you hear about it — plainly, and in writing.

Continue Watch Avoid
— What sets this apart
  • Unannounced factory audits

We visit without pre-notice so you see normal operations — not a prepared showroom. Distinct in scope and purpose from scheduled pre-shipment inspections.

  • No equity, no financial arrangement

We hold no equity interest in and no financial arrangement with any supplier we evaluate or introduce. Our independence is structural — not a policy statement.

  • 25+ year supplier relationships

Not a directory. We know the factories, the management, the seasonal realities, and the production patterns. That continuity is what makes our intelligence useful rather than generic.

  • Written commitment before any engagement

Fee, scope, and deliverables confirmed in writing before work begins. No ambiguity about what is being delivered, or what it costs.

A
— Agency · Risk Management

Risk Management

Identifying and reducing the five principal risk categories in food ingredient sourcing from China. Each is a distinct engagement — charged individually at pre-agreed fixed fees.

01
Supplier Risks

Unannounced factory audits and scheduled pre-shipment inspections. Supplier approval and ongoing monitoring. Three-verdict output for every engagement: Continue, Watch, or Avoid — honest, not sanitised. Suppliers with 25+ year relationships available for deeper due diligence.

02
Market Risks

Price intelligence, crop condition reports, and seasonal market timing advice. Reduce the cost of buying at the wrong moment — or committing to a contract before a price correction. Drawn from our on-ground network, not aggregated data.

03
Product Risks

Specification verification, sampling coordination, certificate review, and lab test management. We verify what the supplier claims — not just what their paperwork states. Relevant to AgarAgar gel strength, garlic pungency, and cassia/cinnamon coumarin content in particular.

04
Freight Risks

Carrier vetting, shipping document integrity checks, and bill of lading verification. Problems identified before the vessel departs — not after it arrives at destination. Particularly relevant for FCL and LCL consolidated shipments.

05
Currency Risks

Payment timing advice and transaction structure guidance. Practical recommendations on when and how to settle USD/CNY-denominated transactions, informed by current market conditions and shipment timing.

B
— Agency · Logistics

Logistics

End-to-end management of the physical movement and documentation of goods — from packaging specification through to complete document sets at destination.

01
Packaging Material

Specification checking and labelling compliance. Private label and white label coordination. Verification that packaging arriving at port matches what was agreed — before it becomes your problem.

02
Shipping

Freight booking, Incoterm selection and advice, forwarder management. CFR/CIF available — freight prepaid, added to invoice. We manage the complexity so you receive a clean, cost-transparent shipment.

03
Document Control

Obtaining, verifying, and transmitting export documentation: CoO, CoA, Phytosanitary, Health Certificate, ETO/Heavy Metal certifications, fumigation records. Complete document sets — no gaps, no missing certificates at customs.

C
— Agency · Others

Others

Work that doesn't fit neatly into Risk Management or Logistics — engaged and defined by mutual agreement at a pre-agreed fixed fee. Common examples below. If your need isn't listed, describe it and we'll tell you plainly whether we can help.

Regulatory & Labelling Compliance

Guidance on destination-market import regulations and labelling requirements. Particularly relevant when entering a new market or product category — before you have committed to a supplier or a specification.

Ongoing Market Intelligence

Subscription-style intelligence: price trends, seasonal conditions, crop forecasts, and competitive landscape — across multiple reporting periods rather than a single engagement. For buyers who need continuity of insight.

Supplier Relationship Management

Ongoing management of existing supplier relationships — dispute resolution, complaint handling, renegotiation support. For buyers with established China supply chains who need local coverage without a full-time presence.

Category Development

Identifying and evaluating new product categories or sourcing origins not yet in your portfolio. Research-led and specific to our core expertise. If it falls outside what we know well, we'll say so.

Brokerage

Commission-based deal facilitation. We identify vetted suppliers, negotiate on your behalf, and manage the transaction through to shipment. Our commission is pre-disclosed in writing before we begin — and earned only when both sides have fully performed: supplier has shipped and buyer has paid.

Commission earned
only on full execution.

Our incentive is aligned precisely with yours. We earn nothing until both sides have fully performed — the supplier has made shipment and the buyer has made payment. Not on agreement. Not on shipment alone. Only when both obligations are complete.

  • Pre-disclosed commission

Agreed in writing before we begin. No surprises, no adjustments after the deal.

  • Direct shipment

Supplier ships directly to you. No middleman logistics, no unnecessary handling.

  • Direct payment

You pay the supplier directly. We stay completely outside the money flow.

  • After-sales support

We remain involved after shipment. We know the supplier — and that relationship is your recourse if problems arise.

"The question to ask any broker is simple: do they earn more if you pay more? If yes, their interests and yours are not aligned. Ours are."

Our commission is calculated as a percentage of the agreed contract value — fixed before negotiation begins. We have no incentive to push the price up. In fact, a faster deal at a fair price serves us better than a slow negotiation at a marginally higher one. And because commission is earned only on full execution by both sides, we stay involved and accountable right through to payment.

Supplier exclusivity is maintained for a minimum of 12 months post-engagement, covering the country of import and pre-agreed markets.

Seven clean steps.
No surprises.

From your first enquiry to after-sales support — every stage is defined, documented, and managed on your behalf.

  • 01
    Enquiry received

You brief us on specifications, quantity, timeline, and destination. We confirm whether we can help and propose terms before any work begins.

  • 02
    Supplier search & vetting

We identify and vet qualified suppliers from our established network. Only suppliers we are confident in are presented to you.

  • 03
    Negotiation

We negotiate price, specification, Incoterms, and payment terms on your behalf. You are kept informed throughout. Nothing is agreed without your instruction.

  • 04
    Agreement

Deal reached and documented between you and the supplier. Commission confirmed in writing. All terms on record before any goods move.

  • 05
    Shipment & documents

Supplier ships directly to you. We coordinate and verify the document set — CoO, CoA, Phytosanitary, and all required certificates.

  • 06
    Payment

You pay the supplier directly. We are outside the money flow entirely. Our commission falls due only once payment is confirmed — not before.

  • 07
    Commission earned & after-sales support

Commission earned once shipment is made and payment confirmed — both sides fully performed. We remain available for after-sales support. Claims period: 15 days from vessel arrival (sea) or delivery date (courier/air).

Conflict protections.
Structural, not cosmetic.

These are operational rules, reviewed quarterly and documented in writing. Not policies on a website — actual commitments you can ask to see at any time.

01
Dynamic exclusions

When you engage us for a product, region, or supplier — we do not service competitors in any conflicting way for the duration of your active relationship. This exclusion holds without requiring a separate agreement.

02
Supplier ring-fencing

Suppliers we introduce to you are ring-fenced. We do not use those relationships in any way that conflicts with your business interests. Minimum 12-month exclusivity post-engagement across agreed markets.

03
Mutual confidentiality

All findings are strictly confidential to you. Our trading team receives zero information about your suppliers or sourcing decisions. The wall is structural — enforced by operational separation, not just policy.

04
Written commitments

All conflict-of-interest commitments are documented in writing at the start of each engagement. Quarterly reviews ensure ongoing compliance. You can request a copy of the current commitments at any time.

Who we typically work with
